What we collect when you visit this site or get in touch, who processes it on our behalf, and how to have it corrected or deleted.
Last updated October 7, 2026
The short version
We collect what you type into our contact form, basic analytics about how the site is used, and anything you send us by email or when you book a call. We use it to reply to you and to improve the site. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we are
This site is run by Ursa Major Global Tech ("we", "us"). We are responsible for the personal information described here. Questions about this policy go to hello@ursamajorglobaltech.com.
What we collect
Information you give us
Contact form. Your name, email address, the type of project you select, and your message. The form also contains checks that help us filter out automated spam; these run in your browser and are not stored.
Email. Whatever you choose to include when you write to us directly.
Booking a call. After you send the contact form, we offer a Google Calendar scheduler. If you book a time, Google collects your name, email, and the details you enter, and shares them with us so the meeting can happen. The scheduler does not load until you have submitted the form.
Information collected automatically
Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are visited, how people arrive at the site, and roughly where they are (country and region, not precise location). We use Microsoft Clarity to see how pages are used: clicks, scrolling, heatmaps, and session replays. Clarity masks text you type into form fields. Both services set cookies and receive your IP address, device and browser details, and the pages you view.
Hosting logs. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub may log your IP address and request details for security and operation of its service.
Browser storage. The site stores two small flags in your browser's session storage so the intro animation plays once per visit and page transitions run smoothly. They contain no personal information and clear when you close the tab. If you accept or decline analytics cookies, that choice is saved in your browser's local storage so we don't ask again.
Our fonts are hosted on our own server, so loading a page does not send a request to a third-party font service.
How we use it
- To reply to your inquiry and, if you choose, schedule a call.
- To prepare proposals and deliver work you have engaged us for.
- To understand how the site is used and fix what isn't working.
- To protect the site and our inbox from spam and abuse.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not add you to a mailing list unless you ask to be added.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on these legal bases: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (replying to an inquiry), our legitimate interest in running and improving the site, and your consent where the law requires it for analytics cookies.

Cookies and your choices
Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity set cookies to tell visits apart. If your browser is set to a European time zone, which covers the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, we ask before loading either of them, and nothing loads unless you accept. Elsewhere they load by default, but if you are actually in one of those places, Google Analytics stores no cookies until you accept and sends Google only cookieless, unidentified signals. Wherever you are, you can accept or decline at any time with Cookie Settings at the bottom of every page. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site works fully without them. Google also offers a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics on every site.
Do Not Track. Browsers handle Do Not Track signals inconsistently, and this site does not currently change its behavior in response to them. Blocking cookies, as described above, is the reliable way to opt out.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only with the services listed above, and when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Contact-form submissions and email correspondence are kept for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you become a client, in which case we keep what we need for the engagement and for tax and accounting records. Google Analytics keeps event data for 2 months, and data tied to a returning visitor for 14 months after their last visit. Clarity and GitHub keep data according to their own policies.
Your rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email hello@ursamajorglobaltech.com and we'll respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first, usually by replying to the email address you contacted us from.
California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected and how it is used, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
EEA and UK residents also have the right to object to or restrict processing, to data portability, to withdraw consent at any time, and to complain to your local data protection authority.
Where your information is processed
We are based in the United States, operating from Pasadena, California, and Da Nang, Vietnam. The services above process data in the United States and other countries. If you contact us from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred there. Wherever you are, it may also be accessed by our team in Vietnam.
Children
This site is for businesses and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, and access to the inbox and the sheet that stores form submissions is limited to our team. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
When we change how we handle personal information, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will be noted here for at least 30 days.
