The studio
Ursa Major Global Tech is a small, senior software studio built around one bet: that AI-assisted development, wielded by people who know what production software has to survive, collapses the distance between idea and launch from quarters to weeks.
Founded in 2021, we work from Pasadena, California, and Da Nang, Vietnam, with clients worldwide.
We build MVPs for founders, automation systems for operators, and white-label products for agencies, and we ship our own products in between, because nothing keeps engineering judgment sharp like running software you have to answer for.
No account managers, no handoffs between departments, no decks about decks. You talk to the people and agents writing the code, and you watch working software appear every Friday.
The Founder
Ryan Jacobson
Ryan founded Ursa Major to give teams executive-level product and technical judgment without the cost of a full-time hire.
He's been on both sides of the table. As co-founder and CTO of a startup that raised funding before it had earned a dollar of revenue, he learned to make every technical decision justify itself to investors. As fractional CPO for an agency, every product call was also a budget call and a promise to a client.
He still builds every day, so his advice is grounded in what actually ships.
